"There is something about giving everything to your profession. In Italian, an obsession is not necessarily negative. It's the art of putting all your energy into one thing; it's the art of transforming even what you eat for lunch into architecture."
-Renzo Piano-

Donato Enoteca
pasta fresca
Donato Enoteca will prepare different types of hand made pasta. Each recipe will be inspired by a different Italian region with its own pasta shape and preparation.
Set in the heart of downtown Redwood City, DONATO ENOTECA offers true and honest contemporary Italian cuisine from Executive Chef Donato Scotti that changes weekly determined by the freshest available seasonal produce. Showcasing each region of Italy with a sensibility only a native can bring, Scotti’s menu honors his northern Italian roots and presents a clean, modern style of cuisine. Farmer’s market produce and fine imported Italian artisanal products, such as fresh imported burrata, prosciutto, grappa and olive oil, are all employed.

Almare Gelato Italiano
Our recipes come from the great Italian tradition of gelato making and reflect our food philosophy: fresh, simple, high quality ingredients crafted by hand make the best food. We grew up in Italy and we think this is the only way! Every morning at 6am we start making our gelato, after a good espresso! Our faithful Italian machine warms up while we cut fresh fruit and roast pistachios. We mix nut butters and infuse flowers, we combine cream, milk and sugar to achieve the smoothness we need to serve you the best gelato possible! We use fresh fruit, which we personally select every week, following the seasons for our sorbets.
Mr Espresso
Mr. Espresso ‘s  founder  Carlo Di Ruocco is well known for the quality of his coffee and the passion of his work. Carlo’s love for espresso began in his hometown of Salerno, Italy.  When he was a young man he apprenticed there under a coffee roasting  master, learning the art of bean selection, blending, and the craft of roasting by oak wood fire. After immigrating to San Francisco from Salerno, Carlo discovered that there were not many places where he could find a true Italian espresso.  Inspired, he  founded Mr. Espresso in 1978 with the goal of bringing an authentic  Italian espresso experience to the local dining culture. For 37 years, he has differentiated himself within the specialty coffee industry by
promoting true Italian espresso and continuing the craft of roasting coffee in a wood fire roaster. The result has far exceeded his goal and firmly established Carlo’s place in West Coast espresso history.
